அன்றொரு நாள்: மே 4: எல்லாமே சங்கீதம் தான்! நேற்று, ஒரு நீண்டப்பயணத்தின் களைப்பை பொருட்படுத்தாமல், ஒரு இசை நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு சென்றிருந்தேன். அந்த தேவகானம் என்னை (ஆங்கிலத்தில் ‘transported’ என்பார்கள்) எங்கெங்கோ, பற்பல சொர்க்கங்களின் தலைவாசல்களுக்கு, அழைத்துச் சென்று களைப்பை அறவே நீக்கி, உற்சாகத்தை அளித்தது. (Glinka: Rusian and Lyudmila Overture & Rachmaninoff: Piano Concerto No.3 in D minor, op.30 & Symphony No.5 in C minor,op.67). அவகாசம் கிடைத்தால், அது பற்றி எழுதலாம். கச்சேரி முழுதும் ஒரு பின்பாட்டு, மனதில். சர்வஜித் ௵ சித்திரை மீ பஹுல தசமியும், ஸோமவாரமும் ஆகிய சுப தினத்தில், (மே 4, 1767) கிருஷ்ண யஜுர்வேத கிளையை அத்யயனம் செய்யும் அந்தணர் குலத்தில், ஆபஸ்தம்ப ஸூத்ரம் சார்ந்த குடும்பத்தில், பாரத்வாஜ கோத்ர வம்சாவளியில், கடக லக்னம், பூர்வாஷாட நக்ஷத்ரமும் கூடிய சுப முஹூர்த்தத்தில், (பாருங்கோ! என்னே பொருத்தம்!) சீதம்மாவுக்கும், ராமபிரஹ்மம் அவர்களுக்கும், ஒரு ஆண் பிரஜை சுபஜெனனம். திருவாரூரில் பிறந்த குழந்தையா! தியாகராஜன் என்று நாமகரணம். 250 வருஷங்கள் கடந்து போயின. தியாகய்யாவின் மங்கா புகழ் எங்கும் நிரம்பியிருந்தாலும், அநாவசிய கதைகள் கட்டப்பட்டன என்று வருத்தப்பட்டு, தியாகய்யா அவர்களின் உண்மையான கீர்த்தி பாட, அமெரிக்கா-வாழ் நண்பர் ஒருவரின் பதிவுகள் தான் உசாத்துணை. ஒரு சொல். சில வருடங்கள் முன்னால், திருவையாறு சென்று ஐயாவாளை சேவித்து விட்டு வந்தேன். அன்று தான் இந்தியாவில் ஒருங்கிணைத்த கர்நாடக சங்கீத ஆர்க்கெஸ்ட்ரா கேட்டு மகிழ்ந்தேன். நாற்பது வயலின். எல்லாம் சின்னப்பசங்க. ஆஹா! இன்னம்பூரான் 04 05 2012 உசாத்துணை: http://www.thyagaraja.org/Thyagaraja/Welcome.html

The Essentials of Karnatic Music BY HARI NAGABHUSHANAM Karnatic music has two aspects, the transcendental and the conventional, the latter being conceived chiefly as a stepping stone to the former which is the true conception of music as delineated in the previous article. The best exponents of the Karnatic school have laid stress on these two aspects and have demonstrated them by their own example. Ramadas, Purandardas, Narayana Thirtha, Narasimhadas, Thyagaraja, Kshetraya, Dikshitar and a host of such ‘Bhakti Yogins’ furnish instances in themselves for my propositions. SRI THYAGARAJA Of all these, Sri Thyagaraja is certainly a divine incarnation come out to preach to us, consistently with Vedic authority, what music is in its essence and how it secures our eternal emancipation. Sri Shankaracharya expounded the Vedic lore especially the ‘Prasthana Traya’ thereof and re-instated the ‘Adwaitic’ system of philosophy in its former glorious, indubitable and invulnerable position. Sri Ramanujacharya interpreted the same so as to recuscitate the ‘Visishtadwaitic’ system of philosophy and Sri Madhwacharya construed it with a view to re-establish the ‘Dwaitic’ system of philosophy on a firm basis. Thus, of course, they became the founders of the three main religious sects into which the whole of the Aryan population in India is divided at present. As time passed, the true spirit of the systems became lost and superficial vestures have remained only to create and widen the barriers of dissension and strife. Sri Thyagaraja therefore came out to restore unanimity among the followers of the three great exponents of the Vedic culture and effect a regeneration of ‘Nada Brahmopasana’ inculcated by the ‘Shrutis’ and the ‘Smrithis’ etc. He conceives that ‘Nada Brahmopasana’ is the backbone of Vedic culture, that the three great schools of philosophy above referred to are agreed upon its form and procedure, and that ‘Samgeetham,’ its conventional counterpart, serves as a universal religion and a common language not only for the whole of the Aryan Race in India but for the whole creation, human and superhuman. முழுக் கட்டுரை இணைப்பில். யாரோ ராகம் தாளம் பற்றிக் கேட்டிருந்தார்கள்.  அவருக்கும் பயனுடையதாக இருக்கும் நாகராசன் [Quoted text hidden] The Essentials of Karnatic Music.doc 83K

கொடுத்து வைத்தவர் இ சார் நீங்கள். இந்த சங்கீதம் எல்லாம் நேரிடையாகக் கேக்கணும்னு ரொம்ப நாள் கனவு. அதையும் நம் ஊரில் இருந்து கொண்டு (லோக்கல்) தெலுங்கில் பிளந்து கட்டிய ஒரு மஹானைப் பற்றியும் இணைத்தவிதம் அருமை. தன்னுடைய வீட்டுப் பத்திரத்தில் தமிழில் அழகாகக்  கையெழுத்துப் போட்ட இந்த மனிதர் எதற்கு மாய்ந்து மாய்ந்து தெலுங்கில் எழுதப் போச்சு என்ற என்னுடைய ஆச்சரியம் என்றும் தீராது. அன்புடன் பென்-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
