Ludwig Wittgenstein has been considered by many as the most influential Western philosopher since Immanuel Kant. He had wide-ranging interests -moving from engineering to philosophy to becoming an elementary school teacher to military service, all the while deeply delving in philosophical investigations.
‘Bertrand Russell, his pupil Ludwig Wittgenstein  and their colleague G. E. Moore – the pioneers of Analytic philosophy – shared the view that ‘all sound philosophy should begin with an analysis of propositions’ (Russell 1992: 9; first published in 1900). In Russell and Wittgenstein such analysis was centrally a matter of logic.’
Viewed in this background, it come as no surprise that he uses the simile of a combination lock. In sum, Phlosophy is an alluring Spreadsheet.
